Footprint flip flop | Kids footprint

Hi Friends

Sharing a cutesy project that me and kiddo did some time back. It was a big day when for the second time, i took a deep breath and allowed her to get all messy with paint! yes paint on hand, feet..big thing for a mommy who constantly tells the kiddo not to make mess ;)
So we stamped various papers with her hand and foot prints to make some nice memorabilia

I got a beautiful poem from net..have a look..
Miss you when we're not together
I'm growing up so fast
See how big I've gotten
Since you saw me last ?
As I grow , I'll change a lot ,
The years will fly right by
You'll wonder how i grew so quick
When and where and why ?
So look upon this handprint ( these handprints ) and footprints
that's hanging on your wall .
And memories will come back of me ,
When I was very small.

Do check out our other hand and foot print activities here

Handprint Monkey | Kids handprint art

Hi friends
Sharing a cute little handprint monkey today. Me and little miss took out all our paints and paper while Mr Dad was out of city watching one of the world cup matches! We did utilize our time fruitfully by spending quality time with one another. We both love to paint and craft..so what could be better! I had done this handprint and footprint activity with my girl last year, that was her first time and she was skeptical (initially) of the mess her mom was creating on her hands and foot..lol. But this time she was all ready to splurge  and we had lotta fun :)

Sent this to her uncle and aunt, Do let me know how you liked our little monkey .

I love my dad! Mixed media canvas made my little one

Hi friends

Sharing with you today a canvas that me and my little one made for her dad on his birthday. Loved the process and the outcome!
My little one does not call her father Dad, its pappa in our house, but the style queen that she is! and with all the accent she is catching from the cartoons, she would sometime call him dad..and we are amused to hear that from the little one :)
As soon as DH comes home, the little missy wants his phone or tab to play with. He would say no, but she would bring out her hand and say "Promise" (that she will give it back soon)...awww can anyone say no to that!!

Here are the steps that we too to make this:
1. First we applied masking tape on the canvas. Took three colors, yellow, blue and pink and let my little one have fun! Then after she used up all the color..I showed her the magic by removing the masking tape.
She was excited to see the outcome..but was not happy..she thought mumma we'll have to put more paint..it has so much white space..ok madam! your wish is my command :)
2. After it got completely dry, I put some color directly on the canvas and showed her the amazing texture we can create using our simple hair comb! I had tried tis for the first time and we both loved the texture!
3. I wanted to use my little one's hand print on the canvas to give it a personal touch. We did a hand printing session and little S printed her hand on the canvas in red. But it was not very visible, so I decided we'll use her other hand print which we had done on a plain white paper.. So did a fuzzy cut of the hand print.
4. Next we applied some modelling paste using the flower stencil..doesnt it look pretty!
5. We stuck the hand cut out and embellished with cute little 3D stickers.
6. Sprinkeld with white distress stickles and applied mod podge with gloss finish to seal everything well and preserve the beauty of this canvas.

It is very special to me. Do let me know how you liked it.

Toddler fun - Handprint tree

Recently had a lovely crafty day with my daughter..Made little S to get messy with paint all over her palms and feet!
Yep you got it right!, it was little S's hand and foot painting day!
I wanted to do this to put in her on going baby book..but could not gather the courage for all the mess it may cause. the baby book is supposed to have the hand and foot prints of the baby..but my little toddler is no less than that..atleast i have the prints now :)

Little S does not like to get dirty (although she can play with water for the whole day.my little mermaid!)
It took little cajoling and convincing on my and her aruna aunty's part for this activity. We applied the different paints on her hands and foot and made her stamp it on different colored papers..it was fun to watch her expressions! Later she gave in and stared enjoying the mess! but not for long !!! lol

I cut out the hand prints and stuck in her baby book, made the tree base and some heart flowers. Do lemme know how you liked it. Have you tried doing this with your children? I would recommend to do it soon..I wish I had the prints of her tiny hands and feet when she was a baby...well its never too late ;)
