Pencil Sketch - guess who?

This was my first attempt to sketch an actress long ago, not very successful one. Surprisingly some people were still able to guess the actress ;) can you ?? ;)

Apron shaped birthday card

Made this cute apron shaped card using paper piecing. Hand cut the apron shape and the big pocket. Quilled a kitchenware - rolling pin on a match stick for the first time. Isnt it looking cute :) The big kitchen spoon is hand cut from a 1 cm black strip. Sentiment is handwritten and stuck on  a match stick. Quilled the letters MOM using creame coloured strips. To give the finishing touches, embellished it with ribbons and pearls and false stitched the pp.

Though I love pictures in bright day light, for an exception, I feel the colours in this card are coming out well in yellow light..

Anniversary gift made by my student

This lovely frame is a maiden attempt by a dear friend Shipa bhabhi. We worked on it secretly, since it was a surprise gift for bhaiya on thier anniversary. Glad it came out well, bhaiya was sure  very happy and amazed :)

Made this quick card for a birthday boy. Here is the original card. Children (infact everyone!)  like to see their names written, so instead of typing happy birthday, i wrote the little boy's name..

Mothers day card with cheerful colors

Made this cute mothers day card today..
Experimenting with the placement of letter..which one looks better?

BTW the letters here are recycled..I cut the letters from a brown mushroom bag :). The yellow paper is also recycled from an advertisement brochure..
