Kids Puppet theater | Kids craft

Hi Friends

Sharing a lovely craft that me and little miss did few days back. Little missy wanted me to make some penguin cutouts for her her and then insert some straw so that she can make them dance and play with them!
We created some of these, then I thought why not make a little theater for her to play with these. She is very good at story telling and that would give her little puppets a stage and her creativity a platform :)

So started looking for some old boxes. Cut out the desired stage out of it. Wrapped it with black paper. Then we made a slit for the puppets. Decorated the theater with beautiful curtains and cup cake liners. Viola our little theater was ready! We had our little fairy, birdie, penguin, Christmas tree, some snow etc ready to create different story acts with.

Do let us knpw how you liked our little craft.

Kids craft - Toilet Paper roll watch and some tidbits

Hi Peeps

Sharing this simple tp roll craft. Just cut the roll and stick the circle with numbers on it. Makes cute little watches for little ones to play and learn !

Recently we see little miss talking so fluently in English and that too with very good vocabulary and aussie accent too!

Some of her chirpings..

S: Mumma are you alright down there?
(Ofcourse sweety when you ask so sweetly :))

We went to the park in front of our house. While coming back little S wanted her friend didi P to come home. They both played very well. When did P was leaving with her parents, we asked miss S to say " Thanks for coming to my house didi". Instead she formed her own sentence and said
"Thank you for reading me book P didi!"
Wow proud of you to have our own thinking at this age sweetheart.

Little S: thats not funny!!!

Little s: silly me!

We were trying to convince little S to sleep on her own bed.
Me: Little S you should sleep on your small bed dear, It has beautiful pink bedsheet.
Little S: Then i will be nice and cozy mumma?
Me: yes ofcourse :)

Little S wants to be baby now. Cant call her good girl, it should be good baby. And somtimes baby boy!
Little S: girls for blue boys for pink!
and since she is a baby boy, she likes pink (So much of reasoning goes in that little mind!)

We were going to see christmas lights with her Didi P. That day i made little S wear black and white skirt and top (I got bored with all pink around)
But alas didi P wore pink dress that too dungree pattern which is little S's hot favourite!
Little S: Didi P wearing pink dungree dress! Why is mine not pink :((
She got so upset while in the car. Started begging to go back home so she could wear somthing pink!!
Never seen her compare her dress like this before ..bring it on girly :)

Toilet paper roll fishes!

Hello crafty people!

Wanna join us in some fishing! Yep me and my little one made these cutie fishes. We love crafting with toilet paper rolls. My little angel loves painting. Sometimes I would think of some new technique or new design that we can paint..but sometimes the exhausted me after office and home, just gives her tp rolls and paints..and here i have a happy child painting her heart out! So we had these colorful paper rolls with us. Loved turning them into fishes with simple steps.

Steps:
1. Color the tp rolls
2. Cut two slits near one end of the roll, fold it upwards.
3. Open the fold and bend it inside
4. Cut the front to make the face
5. Decorate the fish as per your choice. You can use googly eyes to make the eyes.
We decorated our fishes using sequences,  scrunched tissue paper,  beads, paper cuttings. Also made some designs using 3d glitter outliner.

Kids activity - Cup cake liner flowers

Hi dear crafty friends
Sharing today a very simple craft that me and my little one enjoyed recently. I had some pretty cup cake liners lying in my pantry, so thought of beautifying the house with these.
My little S is now very pro at paper cutting. She loves to cut paper and I make her put it in one bowl, so that it is not all over the place.
With this craft, I tried to enhance her paper folding skills. We both folded the cup cake liners multiple times. Then I showed her how to cut it (which she did on her own for most of the flowers), and slowly she unfolded it to get a beautiul flower!!
Made some leaves with green paper and outlined it with sketch pen. Layered the flowers and sticked little magnets magnets behind them. They now adorn my fridge. :)
You can check the very simple tutorial of this here.

Newspaper Punch Craft Collage

Hi dear friends..how have you all been?
Sharing with you today a very simple craft which I did with my little one. It requires very simple supplies, which we all have at home.
We drew a tree roughly on a white A4 sheet. Punched some small scallop circles from newspaper (the green prints), and decorated our tree. You can handcut any shape randomly, I wanted to use my new punch hence the scallop circles ;) The stalk is painted with water colors and highlighted with sketch pens.
Simple isnt it? and it gives so much fun to the little ones.. to apply glue or stick the pieces!

Quilled Animal Train

Hi Peeps,

I am back to quilling after a long time, ya I was bit bored with it, but now enjoying it again..
Here is a lovely frame I made for little S with a quilled train carrying the animals. It has a quilled panda bear, elephant, lion, monkey, owl, giraffe and a lovely rainbow and cloud. And not to forget a beautiful bright Sun which is a digi.  The frame as usual is completely handmade (yes you remember the diaper box, dont you?? ;)) I used a  lovely magenta handmade paper for the frame.

I am not veeery happy with the pictures. Actually took these from iphone. My daughter decided to chew on the battery of the digi cam and not it is not working :(
Maybe will post some shots again when I get my SLR..sigh..hehe

Detailed shots

This is how it adorns our drawing room wall. I have surrounded it with lovely wall décor.
